ICS welcomes Fellow Lorraine McNerney

ICS welcomes Lorraine McNerney as a Fellow of the society.

Lorraine McNerney is Chief Information Officer (CIO) and a General Manager at Ordnance Survey Ireland, the National Mapping Agency.

Lorraine is a qualified geo-surveyor, with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master in Arts (MA) in Business & IT.

She is an active participant in national, international and United Nations working groups in the field of geo-spatial / geo-statistical data science and the semantic web, including funded academic research projects.

Lorraine served as external examiner for MSc programs in the School of Surveying and Construction Management at the Technical University Dublin (TUD).

She was shortlisted for CIO of the Year in 2018 and 2019 at Ireland’s Women in IT Awards.
