"Using Data to Drive Compliance” - The first steps towards embedding accessibility

Accessibility can seem like a challenging goal but even the longest journey begins with one step.  This first step for many organisations is commissioning an accessibility audit, or for public bodies, receiving monitoring data from the National Disability Authority.

“Using data to drive compliance” will consider how organisations can make the best use of this data in a planned and systemic way.  Donal Rice, NDA, in conversation with Ron Beenen, Deque Systems, will discuss the fundamentals of setting up a accessibility plan for your organisation, actioning accessibility reviews, remediation and timelines.  They will consider the various roles involved from senior management, to technical and communication staff to external consultants and partners.  It will also provide an overview of what the latest round of conducing conducted by NDA tells us about some of the accessibility challenges of the 225 websites reviewed in Ireland.
